On Sunday, July 22, 2018, Father Steve Macias celebrated Holy Communion and offered a homily reflecting on the collect and readings appointed for the Eighth Sunday after Trinity.

Sermon snippet:

There is here a principle that is important for us to remember, our Lord never gives us knowledge without responsibility. For him to say, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves,” is to remind his disciples of their responsibility to actively protect, guard, and preserve the truth that he has shared with them.

The Holy Scriptures themselves provide for us the fence of our faith. They give us an immovable standard because they are the very words of God. The serve as the best defense exposing false wolves amongst us.
